A carving knife with a blade shape suitable for making eraser stamps, which can be rented at Tsukui’s workshops.
It's inexpensive and is recommended for those just starting out.
Two of our recommendations from the series are available for sale.
The blue grip is the triangular blade and the yellow grip is the small round blade.
・If you have one triangular knife, basic line carving is mostly OK.
The thickness of the line can be adjusted from 0.01mm to 5mm depending on the depth of engraving.
・The round knife is not essential, but it is useful when you want to sharpen a wide surface or flatten the unevenness of the mark surface.
Features:
・This is an original engraving knife with a blade shape and sharpened portion designed specifically for eraser stamps.
・The handles are color-coded according to the shape of the cutting edge, making it easy to distinguish between them.
・The rubber clip is soft to the touch and has a great, non-slip fit.
※Although it is made of steel for wood engraving, it is not recommended to use it for woodblock prints, as it is shaped for eraser stamps.
